Passion for poetry: demand the betterment of poetry teaching in english education

Lately, I've been feeling that a lot of people still underrate poetry, (though I fully embrace the people who do) and there is a lot of English literature in classes, but I feel like there are a lot of classical and contemporary poets and poems with different styles and different themes that are not being introduced in English classes, I am a personal lover of Rumi, but many English classes need to shine a light on him more, never once did we study in my English class the work of Mahmoud Darwish, Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, Emily Bronte's poetry, Attar, or even Dante, who wrote poems of love, we also have great contemporary poets today, like Lang Leav, Jane Hirshfield, Virginia Bagliore, I say that we encourage the rise and exposure of contemporary poets as well as honoring the classical ones so that the world can know the beauty of poetry in a world where everyone cannot look past technology, I am especially an advocate for nature poetry, and I too, am a contemporary poet myself, my Instagram page is @_mystic_poet_ if you are interested in reading my poetry.

Thank you for sharing the importance of the movement of poetry.
