Tell Massachusetts To Go All In With Renewables

  • by: Lynn Hamilton

A study coming out of Environment Massachusetts says that a goal of 100 percent renewable energy in the state is both affordable and feasible. Massachusetts has everything to gain and nothing to lose by leading the charge in solar and wind energy. Renewable energy is one of the earth's best defenses against climate change which threatens us with catastrophic storms, weather extremes, and flooding. Clean energy also saves money in the long run.

Please join me in asking Governor Charlie Baker to commission a plan from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources to move the state to one hundred percent renewable energy by 2020.

Dear Govnernor Baker:

I applaud Massachusetts' recent declarations in favor of renewable energy. Now I am writing to challenge you to set an example for all fifty states. A recent study says that it would be both affordable and feasible to power Massachusetts with nothing but renewable energy. This is an exciting opportunity for your state's leadership. Please implement a goal of 100 percent renewable energy in Massachusetts for 2020.
