Help TCM students in Ontario have access to student TTC fare

As of today, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has a Student fare for the TTC monthly passes only available to students of institutions regulated by the Private Career Colleges (PCC) Act. Given that the PCC Act was drafted before Traditional Chinese Medicine was regulated by the government in the province of Ontario, TCM schools are not eligible to become Private Career Colleges.
The path to becoming eligible for registration under the PCC act is a long one, and hundreds of students are paying the price along the way struggling to pay 25% more for full fare (354 dollars more per year) for TTC monthly passes while dedicating full-time to studying.
Student life is tough for all. Please help us ask the TTC not to discriminate against those that are attending exempt schools and allow us, as post-secondary students access to fair fees.
By signing this petition you are showing your support and asking the TTC to offer students of Traditional Chinese Medicine schools the same fare that is accessible to all other students in Ontario. We thank you for your time.
