Tell Nike to drop the murderer Mike Vick

Dog fighting is an evil sport--dogs are tortured and often brutally murderered when they do not "perform". Vick has been accused of drowning, hanging, electrocuting and making millions off the suffering of animals, also he deceived and betrayed the public and sports fans. Dogs are raped as breeders and bait dogs/puppies/kittens have their bones broken to be an "easy prey" to build "confidence" in the fighters: dogs live in horrific conditions, and are starved, beaten, set on fire, thrown in garbage bags, and tortured so that a few people can make money. Nike needs to know that people care about animals and that giving millions to endorse a violent criminal is atrocious. What "second chance" are the dogs getting? Nike's endorsement sends the message out that dog fighting is ok as long as you say you are sorry---meanwhile hundreds of animals throughout America's cities suffer unimaginable pain and rescue groups and brave individuals carry the horrible burden. Dog fighting needs to end in America.

Nike,

Your endorsement of Vick is a terrible mistake. You are sending the message to millions of people that dog fighting is ok as long as there is an apology. What second chance are pit bulls getting? Dog fighting is an evil sport and is responible for horrific acts of cruelty that no living creature should ever endure. Animals are tortured, beatened, starved, burned alive, drowned, electrocuted, hung, abandoned, have their bones broken, mouths taped shut, teeth extracted,  live in dark filthy cages, raped as breeders, and often die slow miserable painful deaths Dog fighting also allows irresponsible breeders to further fill our shelters with abandoned and frequently euthanized animals. Brave humans have sacrificed their time and sometimes saftey for trying to put an end to this evil sport that is frequently associated with gangs, drugs, violence, and other corruptions. How many tears have fallen from people that care about animals? How many hearts broken trying to save a tortured pit bull or puppy or some other victim of dog fighting? You need to reconsider your endorsment of Vick and also need to realize that there are many people that will no longer purchase your items as a result of your actions. Vick does not deserve the money and support of Nike, he has not demonstrated true remorse. There are so many hundreds of things Vick could have done and could be doing to help save the millions of animals that are killed each year but instead he chooses to simply think that people will forget and that he should get to continue to "get the glory". Nike needs to endorse people that will inspire people to be great. America needs to end the evil of dog fighting.

Thank you,
