keep vehicles away from pedestrians

Because pedestrians have no protection against vehicular onslaughter or the pollution that would be so much more suitable for human beings as a landscape. All these dirty, Rocky roads could be turned into much cooler, less congested parks or anything would be better than having to walk on them, and be constantly bombarded and threatened just so you can get across. Unless of course you want to play the live version of frogger! Besides, I don't own a vehicle now, nor will I ever want to. They just get in my way and they're ugly and smell, too.
