The Proger family saved a one week old fawn from certain death when they saw his mother killed by a car. He is kept according to the laws of Ohio and is healthy and happy. But an anonymous complaint led the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources (ODNR) to demand to take the deer and kill him. He could not survive in the wild at this point, and the Progers keep him according to the laws of Ohio. The phone number for the ODNR is: The ODNR phone number is 614-265-6565.
