Tell Greg Clarke NO to an expansion of a Beagle farm!

  • by: Katie Compton
  • recipient: Greg Clarke (former Science & Universities minister)

The UK government have given the go ahead for an expansion on an existing Beagle farm in Grimston East Yorkshire. This Beagle farm breeds and supplies dogs for Lab experiments, where they will be put through excruciating pain and die. Greg Clarke, a former Science and Universities minister in the pre election cabinet is the man himself who gave the green light for the expansion. Not only will it be used to breed more dogs, but also ferrets. Another blow for the animals and animal rights supporters is the fact some of these animals will be exported to labs in other European countries, where animal protection is not priority. The Beagle farm is owned by Brantin & Kingsman Universal, an American company which breeds and supplies labs with animals for vivisection around the world. Vivisection is torturous for the animals involved. They suffer terrible pain and die for the sake of Science and medicine. Please do not let this happen. Show your support today.

Dear Mr Clarke,

The plan to expand the Beagle farm in East Yorkshire is simply unacceptable and horrifying. By giving the green light for this plan to go ahead, you have signed the death warrants of thousands of innocent animals, who now face torturous and painful deaths for the sake of Science. Vivisection is a cruel and barbaric act to beautiful and intelligent animals. I am appalled that you and other members of the UK government are in agreement with this plan, and allowing it to happen with the knowledge so many members of the public are against it. I suggest you reconsider the decision to allow the expansion to go ahead. It simply cannot happen with so many members of the public against it. Members of the public should be allowed a say in this matter. The government have already upset many people by entertaining the idea of relaxing the fox hunting ban. It would not be a wise move to upset the public further with this barbaric plan.
