Remove the US-Mexico Border and Save $30 Billion a year

    Problem
Our entire Defense budget is $716 Billion a year. In comparison, we spend $30 Billion a year to secure the US-Mexican border. We can help Mexico secure their southern border which is only 156 miles vs the 2,000 miles for the US-Mexico

The European Union managed to come to an agreement with 28 different countries. Surely the great United States could come to an agreement with one country.

I think many Americans fear that Mexicans would flood into the US, but I contend, if such an agreement would go through, there would be an outward flow of resources in the direction of the most opportunity and rewards, namely Mexico.

The many US companies that would expand into Mexico would help the Mexican economy and boost their infrastructure and create service, construction, and Hi-tech jobs in Mexico. Plus we can keep Donald Trump busy and focused on going after all those supposedly bad hombres, murders, and rapists that he keeps talking about.

The first gold rush in Mexico would be land. Personally, I would be seeking a small house in a small fishing village within walking distance of the ocean. The Starbucks and McDonalds of the world would be snapping up prime property in the larger cities to expand their brands which already have a small presence in most of the major cities of Mexico.

The most important reason for such an agreement, we can save $30 BILLION dollars a year. We can redirect that money into our own infrastructure. The first thing that I would lobby for is high-speed internet for our rural areas of the US. I strongly believe that High-Speed Internet should be an American right.

Since the formation of America, Americans has always risen to the challenge of a new frontier, whether it was the wild west, Louisiana or Alaska. I contend that Mexico is the new frontier. We enjoy our Mexican restaurants, party on Cinco de Mayo and love our Tacos and Burritos and me Flan. We are all more Mexican that you think.
