TELL THE STATE OF GEORGIA THAT PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS ARE NOBODY'S FAULT AND TO EXPAND MEDICAID!

  • by: A. Ward
  • recipient: Governor Nathan Deal, State of Georgia

Governor Nathan Deal of Georgia is denying at least 650,000 Georgian's the right to healthcare! Even though President Obama offered to pay for the first three years of Medicaid Expansion to those states willing to provide health care options to poor working adults, Governor Deal said NO! To make bad matters worse, anybody whose wages fall below the Federal Poverty Level are NOT eligible to receive federal subsidies to help them get health insurance under the Affordable Healthcare Act!

What this means is the poorest working Georgian's do not benefit and cannot receive health insurance in spite of the Affordable Care Act's provisions!

Governor Deal does not seem to care that more than 20% of his constituents cannot afford to purchase health insurance. He does not seem to care that sick people are going without medical attention. In fact, he is working closely with Georgia's Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens to make certain the Affordable Care Act never enters the state. And now, the two of them want to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions as well!

But Governor Deal's plans don't end with Georgia. He has been encouraging other Republican run states to opt-out of expanding Medicaid as well; leaving poor hard-working American's out in the cold and without healthcare.

Please sign this petition demanding that the State of Georgia expand its Medicaid program so that EVERY Georgian has access to health insurance!

Dear Governor Deal,

The people who have signed this petition are asking you to please expand the Medicaid coverage in the state of Georgia to include all working Georgian's. Right now the poorest working citizens who cannot afford insurance are not entitled to any assistance from their home state or under the Affordable Care Act. This means that right now there human beings in your state too sick and too poor to go to the doctor even for deadly illnesses such as cancer.

Please stop looking out for political agendas and look out for human rights instead.

Expand the Medicaid Program so that everyone can receive healthcare!
