Release sick, abused elephant from performing in circus

  • by: Piper Hoffman

An elephant in her 30's named Nosey has been tortured for a long time. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) even filed a formal complaintagainst her owner, Hugo "Tommy" Liebel. Liebel faces close to three dozen charges of violating the Animal Welfare Act, and most of those are about the luckless Nosey.
UniverSoul Circus plans to feature Nosey in its Florida shows February 22-27. We want them to cancel her performance and break ties with Liebel as a step in putting him out of business.

Dear Mr. Walker,

We ask you to cancel Nosey the Elephant's planned performances in Tampa and Tallahassee and to break ties with Hugo "Tommy" Liebel, who faces dozens of charges by the USDA for violating the Animal Welfare Act based on his cruelty and neglect towards Nosey.

Other venues have shunned canceled arrangements with Liebel. We ask you not to force this sick and suffering elephant to perform in your circus.

Thank you for your consideration.
