Demand zoning issues be grandfathered in for Montana Grizzly Encounter

  • by: Julie Halcomb

In 2002, Casey Anderson and others began building the Montanta Grizzly Encounter (MGE) facility to save grizzly bears that would have otherwise been euthanized.

Montana Grizzly Encounter is essential to the education and safety of everyone who enters grizzly country. Every year thousands of school children visit for free to learn about grizzlies and how to safely be in and around grizzly country. People from all around the globe travel here to get a small glimpse in the lives of grizzly bears. This facility is so very important for the environment and education of all who visit.

Every permit and rule was followed according to zoning laws when Casey first opened MGE. But now MGE is facing the threat of being closed due to zoning laws that should have been grandfathered in according to the original permit/contract.

It is vital that we do everything necessary to help save this facility. MGE is a magnificent sanctuary for grizzlies, as well as for humans who want to learn about how to stay safe in grizzly country.

Please sign this petition to help Casey continue to remain open and continue saving grizzlies' lives.
