Free my son too OBAMA.

Unfair sentencing practices of teenage offender.

My son, Jesse Walker became the victom of a broken home and an explosive divorce and child custody battle in 1994. He was 4 years old at the time. Jesse lived with his mother, who had little to no control over him. I was to caught up in exercising my new found freedom to provide the proper Fatherly guidance and direction that he needed. I began drinking, smoking marijuana, and chasing women, setting the worst example for my sons I now realize in hindsight. As a result of my negligence Jesse began associating with older teens and young adults who were part of the local drug scene and criminal element. So as time moved on, Jesse was pulled deeper and deeper into the local drug scene and became badly addicted to Rx drugs: Oxycodone, Morphine, Xanax, as well as Cocaine and Ecstacy. At age 17, Jesse and two of his adult friends decided to rob two local drug dealer. Jesse went into the trailer-home of the two drug dealers and conducted surviellance, so one of his adult friends could enter the trailer and commit the actual robbery after Jesse left the area. No one was harmed, in fact the gun used was unloaded and there was no ammunition in the getaway vehicle or on Jesse or his co-defendents. THIS IS ALL SUPPORTED BY COURT DOCUMENTS AND POLICE REPORTS. Jesse was charged as an adult with the same charges as his two adult co-defendents; the one who carried the gun and robbed the drug dealers and the other drove the getaway car. Jesse was eventually sentenced to 12.5 years in prison followed by 16 years of probation upon his release. The gunman who committed the robbery recieved the minumum sentence of 10 years in prison. HE WILL BE RELEASED FEB. 27. 2018 THE GETAWAY DRIVER WHO ADMITTED TO PROVIDING THE GUN, WAS GIVEN A "SPECIAL REDUCED SENTENCE" OF 79 MONTHS (6.5 YEARS) WITH 5 YEARS OF PROBATION FOR THE ROBBERY, AND FOR A SEPARATE VIOLATION OF PROBATION FOR A FELONY DRUG SALE CHARGE THAT HE WAS ALREADY ON PROBATION FOR AT THE TIME OF THE ROBBERY. HE WAS RELEASED IN THE FALL OF 2013, BY THE SUMMER OF 2014 HE WAS BACK IN JAIL FOR FELONY DRUG CHARGES. IN THE BEGINING OF 2016 HE WAS SENT BACK TO STATE PRISON ON NEW CHARGES AND THE V.O.P. FOR THE 2008 ROBBERY. HIS CURRENT RELEASE DATE HAS HIM BEING RELEASED FOR THE SECOND TIME OVER ONE YEAR BEFORE JESSE IS SET TO BE RELEASED. Interestingly enough, one of the robbery victims is serving a new prison sentence (his 3rd time) at the same facility (Liberty CI) as Jesse's co-defendent who was recently reincarcerated. I strongly believe my son should have been sentenced as a juvenile, and given drug treatment rather than being thrown in state prison with the worst of the worst for over a decade. Jesse spent over 600 days in county jail prior to being sent to state prison on Dec. 1st 2010. There is no doubt in my mind that after 600 days in the county jail, sober, recieving drug treatment, Jesse had already made major changes and would have never participated in criminal activities again. Since being committed to the Florida Dept. of Corrections, Jesse has been subjected to annumerable instances of cruel & unusual treatment at the hands corrupt guards and an overcrowded, extremely violent prison population. Jesse has been left in below freezing temeratures with no sheets, blanket or sweater/jacket in a cell with no heat at Hamilton CI in November of 2012. The majority of Floridas prisons are old, decrepit, unsanitary and do not have air conditioning in the areas where the inmates are housed. When summer time comes and outside temperatures are 90 to 100 degrees on average, it is much hotter inside the dormitories and cells. These cells have poor ventilation (some have none) and many have windows that are odstructed by security-panels that prevent fresh air from entering the cells. Many inmates have heat strokes and some have died. Google it! These 8x8 foot cells have 4.5 foot long fluorescent light fixtures mounted on the ceiling that are left on from 4am until 11pm, causing the cells to become even hotter, and bright beyond belief. Often times, some malicious guards leave these lights on all night to make the inmates suffer even more. Sleep deprivation is a form of torture under the Geneva Convention. They don't even use it at Guantanamo Bay on terrorests! He was stabbed by a gangmember in January of 2013 at the same facility and then placed in solitary confinement and given disciplinary measures for simply defending himself from his attackers. Florida state prisoners are not allowed to purchase soap or other hygeine products while on "Disciplinary Status" and they are locked down 24-7 with only 3 showers per week, which he often didn't recieve, and no outdoor recreation time or sunlight. Not to mention he could not recieve visits or make phone calls. The guards refer to confinement as the "Hole" or "Dungen" or "Hell Hotel". Until recently there were no cameras in many areas of the prison, allowing the guards and inmates to do whatever they like with little to no consequence. I have made more calls than I can count to the Insector General of the prison system with very little justice being served. Feel free to Google: FLA.D.O.C. guards abusing inmates. You will see how wide spread the abuse is inside! Jesse has been mentally and physically abused by the prison system, yet he still maintians an optimistic outlook and has high hopes for the future. He has dedicated himself to self-betterment, learning to speak, read and write Spanish, writing several manusctipts for non-fiction and fictional literary pieces. Jesse has a vision and an accompanying blueprint to help young adults and teens avoid going down the same path as him. He has discussed with me in great detail his plan to create an anti-drug, anti-gang, anti-crime Community Based Orgonization. Unlike many people who have been incarcerated for long periods of time, Jesse holds no resentment or animosity toward the police or courts, in fact he wants to work with them to curtail the drug abuse epidemic and provide his testimony to others. Jesse will have full time employment with his older brothers Air Conditioning Company. Keeping him in prison is a waste of tax-dollars and cruel and unusual at this point, considering his new outlook on life. He plans to better our society. In the past few months President Obama has commuted the sentences of over 300 federal inmates serving time for drug distribution, trafficking, conspiracy, ect. 65 OF THEM WERE SERVING LIFE. According to his administration the President plans on commuting the sentences of many more before he leaves office on January 19, 2017. Free My Son Too Obama.
