Stop Horrific Cownose Ray Bashing Event Forever

In June 2015, this "event" where pregnant rays were shot at point-blank range with arrows then beaten mercilessly with metal bats. As part of the cruelty, the rays were weighed, as the mothers were dying, they were giving birth. Some of the mother rays’ birth canals were tied with plastic zip ties in order to keep their babies inside of them, so that the rays would weigh more. One bowhunter tried to push a dead baby back inside the mother to be included in the weigh in. After the tournament was over, these beautiful rays were dumped into the river like so much garbage. The horror behind this slaughter can not be put into words. Please sign so this event will never occur again in the state of Maryland.
Dear Governor Hogan and Lt. Gov Rutherford,
We, the undersigned, sincerely request that you do not allow such barbaric events such as the cownose ray event that was held in June of this year from ever occurring again. Not only does it promote animal cruelty, it promotes the barbarity of human nature. Such events condone such horrific behavior. Prove them wrong and do not allow such events from happening here again.
