IN: Urge Your State Senator to Oppose Bill to Criminalize Exposure of Animal Abuse!

Indiana Senate Bill 373 would make it a crime to simply take a picture on a farm without the property owner’s written consent. Concerned citizens, employees, neighbors, and anyone else who sees a suffering animal or other suspicious activity and wants to document it would be a criminal if this bill becomes law.

Similar whistleblower-suppression (or “ag-gag”) bills are being pushed by big agricultural interests in states all over the country. The corporations behind huge, industrial farms are upset with investigations that expose horrible treatment of farm animals. They don’t want the public to see what is happening on large farms today. But these investigations are key to sparing these animals further abuse. We must not let this bill become law.
