Rep. Steve King said that he supports racial profiling at airports.
He said that grandmas get the "spread-eagle search" while a "20-year-old Middle Eastern male waltzes through with a smirk on his face" and that TSA's screening not only needs to be more selective, but that people shouldn't all be processed equally. He said that people are "squeamish about making judgement calls".
Please tell Rep. Steve King that racial profiling is wrong and shouldn't be supported!
Dear Rep. Steve King,
Recently you said that the TSA should change their policies to be more selective and to make "judgement calls" so that grandmas wouldn't be getting the "spread-eagle search" while a "20-year-old Middle Eastern male waltzes through with a smirk on his face".
This is racial profiling -- it is wrong and discriminatory. Please do not support racial profiling.
Thank you for your time.
