Robert Naughton to stay on as St. Catherine University Sonography Program Clinical Coordinator

A professor, Mr. Naughton, at St. Catherine University is being dismissed from his teaching position. The students in the sonography program in which Professor Naughton teaches, feel that his dismissal is unjustly determined. The students fear for their future education, losing the accreditation, the future of the sonography program. They are concerned about the unfair treatment of their faculty member but also how this will affect the health and medical field in which the students will play a role in the health of many individuals.
St. Catherine University has always taught their students to believe in what they think is right, to understand all sides, and to treat others as they wish to be treated no matter the difference. This issue of Professor Naughton's dismissal is based on false reasoning and has been brought on by past information that is irrelevant to the present situation. The students feel the way the University is dealing with the issue is against what they teach their students. They are taking the easy way out to protect their reputation, but at what cost to their students? The students want to be heard, and understood. The university is using the false information of the students feelings for the basis of Professor Naughton's dismissal. The students greatly value Professor Naughton's teaching and feel their program and education will greatly suffer with his swift and unjust dismissal.
The best solution is to hear the real feelings of the students and let Professor Naughton keep his position until the matter is justly resolved so as to protect the future of the sonography program and future education of the University's sonography students. The best action would be to hear the whole story, not part of it.
