Neil deGrasse Tyson for U.S. President 2020

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an astrophysicist and author, as well as the Director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City. He is a graduate of Princeton University, and has served on two Presidential committees regarding space exploration and the aerospace industry. He does not affiliate with a political party; however, many of his viewpoints have been politicized, such as his desire to fund science and education. He quotes, "...when you have people who don't know much about science, standing in denial of it, and rising to power, that is a recipe for the complete dismantling of our informed democracy." Mr. deGrasse Tyson has also been a spokesman for climate change, as well as animal rights.
What makes him qualified to hold the highest civilian office in the United States? Neil deGrasse Tyson is a common-sense intellectual who will listen to the facts presented and make informed decisions. He will surround himself with intellects and experts, rather than sycophants or cronies. He will consider America's role in the greater good of the whole planet. And, given the lack of political qualifications of others who have run for President, he would be the first to bring a balance of leadership and objectivity.
