Indigo Macaw aka Lears Makaw

With indigo-blue plumage, a bright green head cap, yellow cheek patch and long tail, the indigo macaw is quite a spectacular bird. It lives in the forests and scrub of Brazil. It has an extremely small population in the wild and a very restricted range. Threats to this species include habitat loss and collection for the illegal pet trade.
