BAN THE CATHOLIC BID ON THE CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL

To request His Holiness, Benedict XVI to instruct the Roman Catholic Bishop of Orange, Bishop Tod David Brown, to withdraw the present bid to acquire the Crystal Cathedral from the debtors-in-possession, Crystal Cathedral Ministries, in the interest of attendees and congregants of the local church and viewers of the television ministry, "Hour of Power" worldwide, who regard this place of worship and the televised services within it, as their church home.

We maintain that to permit this acquisition to continue, is to divide the body of Christ and hurt those who are no less followers of Jesus Christ, because they adhere to the Protestant and/or Reformed doctrines that commenced in 1517.

We believe there are serious yet not revealed legal concerns/issues that have yet to be brought to full transparency, possibly including the legitimacy of current ownership of the real property, together with the misapporiation of funds by persons who voted to accept the bid without any regard for the congregants be they local or via television.

On January 26, 2012, Bishop Tod D. Brown was first informed that there are numerous individuals who believe that there is potential for a serious financial crime to have taken place within Crystal Cathedral Ministries.  He was also informed of the concern that the offer presented to the Court, when it was for consideration, did not have Papal approval at the time of presentation.  The ruling and order was issued on November 18, 2011 and Papal authority was not given until January of 2012.  Other concerns were expressed and expanded upon to Bishop Brown again on January 31, 2012, including that of whether or not the financial institution from which RCBO is securing funding for the acquisition and the Court has been made known of the concerns as to the potential of a serious financial crime, and effort to have an IRS investigation of the debtor-in-possession.

We, who are American citizens, intend to seek assistance from our representatives in government, and ask all brothers and sisters in Christ who love this church from beyond our borders, to contact their governments and the United States Department of Justice as to possible corruption in the organization, embezzlement and/or fraud.

We encourage Chapman University to pursue an appeal if possible, of the bankruptcy court ruling, further state that it is not unusual for a cathedral and college to coexist on a campus and cite exempli gratia, the world reknown Kings College and Chapel in Cambridge, England, established in 1446 A.D., by King Henry VI.

We state transparently, that this petition is revised due to complete lack of response by Crystal Cathedral Ministries and those who operate it, Sheila/Jim Coleman together with Gretchen/James Penner, whose immediate and unconditional resignations we continue to demand.

Submitted as revised this 2nd day of February 2012 A.D., with respect and before ALMIGHTY GOD, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Blessed and Holy Trinity

We ask you to consider and pray about the issues within this petition and request you to instruct Bishop Brown, in Orange County, California, to withdraw the bid to acquire the Crystal Cathedral.
