The Artesia corridor is in dire need of improvements and the businesses no longer reflect or meet the needs of the residents.
With dilapidated buildings and numerous discount stores already in place the last thing Artesia needs is a bargain basement grocer in an area where property values are skyrocketing and the residents demand more from their city and its leaders.
The residents need to stand up and be heard. Grocery Outlet was approved by a mayor that does not attend to this section of the city and the deal attributed to a repesentative from another district. We will not let those outside our district make decisions that have an adverse effect on our neighborhood just to increase their tax revenue.
By signing this petition the residents of this area demand that Grocer Outlet be denied and that a suitable replacement be found that at the very least meets a minimum standard for the community.

Please arrive a few minutes early there is a form you can pick up from the secretary that you can fill out and have a chance to address the city council. Hope to see a good turnout to make our voices heard.

There will be a Community Meeting to discuss the resident concerns and options regarding the OUTLET GROCERY STORE announced by Mayor Aspel.
