Arianna Huffington: Remove the Sensational and Disrespectful Video of Tibetan Immolations

To date, 102 Tibetans have given their lives in protest of the oppressive policies of the Chinese Communist Party.  Almost all have died of severe fourth degree burns, as they call for freedom for Tibet, and the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet. They have been trivialized by this 'science' story: http://youtu.be/-B-eV1SjohQ

These cries seem to be a 'shock value story lead' for Huffington Post science reporter Cara Santa Maria, as she has posted video footage of recent Tibetan immolations in her story about 'regenerative medicine' for burn victims.

Maytyrs remain nameless, though the doctor with whom she discusses 'burn care' receives full credits in her story.

The fact that this care is not available to these immolators (many are detained by police, and in some cases, have been beaten and shot at while still burning) -- and the story progresses to say, that this modern treatment, wouldn't even help them anyway.

Ms. Huffington, you have recently met with and interviewed the most prominent of Tibetans, HH the Dalai Lama. I ask you, would you show him this video, as a representation of the work of the Huffington Post journalism?

While the Post has been a home to many excellent journalists on Tibet, and that forum is greatly appreciated, this video undermines that very platform.  It is on par with the shock value journalism the NY Post was just criticized for.

We respectfully request you respect the immolators of Tibet and remove this video: http://youtu.be/-B-eV1SjohQ by Cara Santa Maria and that you personally address her low 'shock value' tactics.

Ms. Huffington,

Since 2009, over 92 Tibetans have given their lives in protest of the oppressive policies of the Chinese Communist Party.  Almost all have died of severe fourth degree burns, as they call for freedom for Tibet, and the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
