The Village of Williamsville has proposed to allow Natale Development the ability to build apartments in South Long Park. The building(s) have been suggested to be tall and of high density, and will likely tower over everything off Main Street. Additionally, this approximately 2 acre parcel of land will eliminate the softball diamond and potentially much of the soccer field; facilities that are used every day by residents.

As you may have heard we incorporated a company called Protect South Long Park, LLC for the purpose of fighting for South Long Park on a much more serious level - only because the Village Board has not yet giving up the swap concept. We ask that you visit www.protectsouthlongpark.com. Please join as a member (free) and leave a message for the Board. Our only goal is to protect the park for the benefit of all. Please attend the Village Board meeting on Monday, May 12 at 7:30pm at Village Hall. Take your turn at the microphone and simply say that you are 1) opposed to the Natale land swap, 2) you do not want private buildings where the park is now, and 3) the Village should require Natale to build on their own land.
The Village board needs to protect all of our interests, not just the few people that are willing to decimate a park to reduce responsible development near their homes.

Please remember to attend the Village update on this land swap and construction which is tomorrow, Wednesday May 3rd at 7pm in the Village Hall.
Remember that this swap is not required of the Village. It is being pushed by a group who do not want apartments on California Drive. All residents should have the opportunity to weigh in on this major change.

Thanks to all of you that have already signed the petition to save our park and stop the possible construction.
PLEASE share the petition with everyone you know in the Village, and to ATTEND THE PUBLIC MEETING and BE VOCAL THAT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE on this Wednesday May 3rd at Village Hall at 7pm. Mayor Kulpa will be giving an update on his negotiations with Natale Development.
