Fair Parking for Fair Wages

Minimum wage employees are currently being charged 15 dollars a day after being raised twice in the past three years to use the public parking garage operated by 'Spplus' this averages about 20% of a daily income for part time minimum wage employees. The employees/merchants/general public are offered a discount that averages out to a 10 dollar savings if you park at the garage 23 days out of the month and dose not reflect a fair discount for the spike in parking prices. public transportation is available but closes at 12:00am (much earlier then most employees are dismissed) and may be subjected to harassment or theft.

On behalf of the 'Fair parking for fair Wages' proposal currently in discussion we would like to propose the city look into the issue and suggest a 10$ per day parking for employees who work there to encourage employees to use the garage at a fair cost.
