MAKE Allen County, OH Dog Warden's Office RETURN ALL DOGS SEIZED

  • by: Brandi Borgia
  • recipient: Governor of Ohio John R. Kasich, Allen County Commissioners Dan Reiff, Greg Sneary, Sam Bassitt
OHIO - Almost 100 pets have been seized by the Allen County Dog Warden since beginning a compliance sweep in recent days.

The Dog Warden is doing a clean sweep of unlicensed pets AND SEIZING THEM. Breeds such as Pit Bulls (who educated people know are NOT bad dogs) are in danger of being DESTROYED!

Even though Ohio legislators removed pit bulls from the vicious dog list last year, cities may still enforce breed specific restrictions. The city of Lima, in Allen County, is one city that has kept a pit bull restriction in place. Reports state that even if your pit bull is OK in your Allen County community, if not licensed, the dog warden will impound her, take hert to Lima, and kill her. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!

This dog Warden is terrorizing not the only the dogs BEING SEIZED, but their tax paying resident owners, during this INHUMANE seizure! This dog warden is filling the kennels with pets who are loved and have homes AND PREVENTING ANIMALS IN NEED FROM RESCUE!!

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION and make the Allen County Dog Warden return the dogs to their rightful owners! There is a more humane way for the Allen County Dog Warden to get dogs licensed!! AFTER SIGNING THIS PETITION, call or email the Allen County Commissioners at: (419)228-3700 or commissioners@allencountyohio.com and let them know they are in the wrong to allow their dog warden to physically seize unlicensed dogs!
