Let the Endangered Species Act (ESA) Remain.

"(CNN) The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held a hearing Wednesday with Republicans focused on curbing the Endangered Species Act, the latest front in the conservative push to rein in regulations they see as harmful to business.

The law is a flashpoint: The agriculture industry says it imposes far-reaching regulatory burdens. James Holte of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation told the committee, "farmers and ranchers consider it their personal responsibility to be stewards of the land. However, the ESA creates many challenges for them to balance agriculture production with wildlife habitat."

Republican lawmakers have also complained the Endangered Species Act has had a negative impact on drilling, logging and mining. They've argued it has hampered economic growth in these industries and expressed frustration that animals that reach recovery status are not de-listed." (Republicans explore curbing the Endangered Species Act; Rene Marsh, CNN).

Slowly Congress will try their best to completely abolish the Act, yet all wildlife deserves to be preserved. Younger generations will not be able to see these majestic animals. These innocent creatures do more to the environment than we know. Without these creatures the chain reaction in their ecosystem will change. Without the plants that are endangered could cause Global warming to continue in certain regions. Ending this act for mining, oil drilling, etc will only cause more harm for the environment and more money for Republicans, and these businesses to keep for themselves. It is all personal gain for them.

"States, counties, wildlife managers, home builders, construction companies, farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders are all making it clear that the Endangered Species Act is not working today,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), said at a recent Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing he chaired. How is the act not working? According to its detractors, only 47 of 1,652 species to receive protection since the act was passed in 1973 have recovered enough to get promoted off the endangered species list." (With this Congress, the Endangered Species Act itself might be endangered; Los Angeles Times; By the times editorial board).

Congress/ Republicans will lie as much as they can to get this law to pass. But together we have the power to prevent this all from happening! Endagered species should not go extinct! All plants are beautiful and are their for a reason and help their ecosystem remain stable. Animals do not understand what is going on when we are harming their land, they deserve to live in this world as much as us huamns do. Thank you! :)
