Bring Paisley Home
UPDATE: On Tuesday, December 31, 2013, the Addison County Court Judge ruled to dissolve the writ of replevin and dimiss the case. The plaintiff (Sheila McGregor/Heidi's Haven Rescue) was given three days to make arrangements for Paisley to be returned to her rightful home. We picked Paisley up on Friday, January 3, 2014. It had been 51 very long days and sleepless nights since we last saw her. At first she was scared and probably very confused, but it didn't take long before she was giving kisses!! We are obviously very thankful to have Paisley home with us, but remain deeply saddened for what she's had to go through. It will take some time, but she is definitely happy to be home and we are going to let her relax as much as possible so that she can adjust properly. Thank you again to everyone who shared our story, signed the online petition, donated to Paisley's legal fund, kept us in their thoughts and helped keep our hopes up during those defeating times. And thank you for your continued support as we reunite with Paisley. We are truly grateful for everything and it's time to focus our efforts on PAYING IT FORWARD. Please consider a small donation. Like many of you, we are avid pet lovers. Members of our family actively foster rescue dogs pulled from Southern kill shelters. They are all such fantastic dogs in search of their forever homes and don't get nearly enough credit.
