Stop California from Abducting Medicare

The Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI) as proposed by Governor Brown will affect
1.1 million seniors in California.

Although intended to save hundreds of millions of dollars, it will likely actually COST much more.  This law will disrupt the delivery of much needed medical care to a very vulnerable group of people.

Although intended as a pilot project by the legislature as SB208, The CCI will be instituted in ALL of California before any meaningful data can be collected on its consequences or implementation.

Seniors and people with disabilities (SPDs) will be separated from their traditional healthcare providers, the doctors they depend on and trust, who are part of their community.

To protect this very vulnerable group, S.C.A.M., a grassroots advocacy coalition was formed. S.C.A.M. is a 501 (c) 4 Corporation.

It is comprised of patients, medical providers of all types, advocacy groups, union members, nurses and working families.

In order to protect these patients, S.C.A.M. advocates for the development of legislation to ensure the federally protected right of all people to make free decisions regarding their healthcare is maintained.

We call for everyone to join us in this campaign.  We need your help!
