New Drugs for Ovarian Cancer NOW

  • by: Lisa Mckinnon

75% of women afflicted with ovarian cancer do not survive beyond five years...sobering stats...More effective drugs must be mandated NOW to combat this deadly disease to save lives.  The current drugs have a poor track record.  The disease reoccurs and the drugs, carboplatin and paxiltaxel are highly debilitating. What is the sense in doing something again and again if it doesn't work? Recommendation: a "Fast Track Program"  to get promising, new drugs to patients much sooner.  It can take up to 10 years for a new drug to reach the market.

Help approve olaparib and bevacizumab being used in USA to treat O.C.
