CITY OF UPTON UNLAWFUL & UNFAIR INFRINGEMENT ON A TAXPAYING CITIZEN

On Friday, September 12, 2014  the property owned by Gina Hawke, a taxpaying citizen, was trespassed on by employees of the city of Upton.  The property owner, Gina Hawke, who was in isolation at home recovering from thumb replacement surgery, received a call that someone was doing her a good deed by mowing her property.   When Gina Hawke approached these men thinking a good Christian was doing a neighborly but uncalled for service to her, she was rudely told they had been hired by the City of Upton & they had a right to be there.    The end to this story is that the City of Upton is claiming that they sent a certified letter to Gina Hawke via a PO Box....She has not had a PO Box for many years ^ she has always received her property tax bill on this property at her correct address.  A town board member told Gina Hawke that another certified letter had been sent to her (at this same undeliverable as addressed address) containing a bill for $1900. for the cleanup that would result in a lien on her property if not paid.  THIS IS A TRAVESTY!!! The City of Upton has apparently chosen this one individual to perpetuate all of it's bullying powers on.  This is unfair & a very bad representation of the citizens of Upton & our brotherly love for one another.  It is expecially unfair when property owned by the City of Upton is left to grow wildly & unkempt adjacent to several citizens' chain link fences causing damage to the fence & endangering the entire community & it's citizens by harboring snakes, rats, mosquitos, etc.  We the undersigned ask that the City of Upton pay the bill that was sent to Gina Hawke & returned by the Post Office, IN FULL & further adibe by their own rules by keeping property owned by the city clean.  Our taxes should afford us some degree of justice; otherwise it's taxation without representation,.
