Make Geogia a NO KILL state for all healthly Animals

According to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, hundreds of thousands of animals are euthanized in their shelters. This is an extremely shocking number! Just like any person deserves a chance to live a good and promising life, so does every animal. I understand that over population is a huge issue, however, there are alternatives to controlling the issue instead of depriving an innocent creature of his/her life. Alternatives such as increased enforcement of spaying, nurturing pets and providing small rewards to people who foster/adopt animals, etc. The issue of over population cannot be solved, but it doesn't justify euthanizing a healthy animal with so much potential.
Mohandas K. Gandhi states, "The greatness and moral progress of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated". A life is a life, so therefore there isn't a reason fare enough to take that innocent life away. I prompt people to sign this petition because possibly thousands of lives can be saved.
