Senator Harry Reid of Nevada has announced that he will not seek reelection for his Senate seat in 2016. His work as both Senate Majority Leader and Senate Minority Leader will go down in history. As of now, however, we need to focus on establishing a new leadership with progressive democrats at the head.
Who better than Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts?
Senator Warren has proved time and time again that her approach to reform Wall Street is not only progressive, it's bold. Her skills in the Senate make her the perfect candidate for the next Senate Democratic Leader after Senator Reid leaves office. Senator Warren (despite our pleas) will not be running for the presidency, but that doesn't mean she's not ready for a leadership role.
With Warren leading the Democrats in the Senate and Pelosi in the House, we can push for real, upstanding reform that changes the face of American democracy. Add Sanders or Clinton in the White House and we'll have the perfect administration.
