Tell Seattle's City Council members that you want to preserve the character of Queen Anne, and ask them to vote NO to rezoning 225 W. Galer St.
Under current zoning, Aegis Living, a huge residential care company, can already build a three-story structure. But it wants more.Another floor. More units. More profit. Never mind that it would create a canyon effect, more dangerous traffic bottlenecks and more parking nightmares on a residential street. It would also place the loading dock and entrance to a parking garage for a 66-unit facility on a street lined with single-family homes. We think that's a really bad idea just so a corporation can make more money.
Please take a moment to tell the City Council to vote NO and say yes to saving Seattle's iconic, historic Queen Anne neighborhood.
