Keep Regena Jankura out of prison.

Regena is a 32 year old mother who has gone through things the majority of us couldnt possibly imagine. She lost her 69 day old daughter to rsv and kidney failure in march of 2008. 18 months later her husband and her seperated. She turned to drugs to self medicate and fix the pain. In Dec 2014 someone tried killing her by burning her home to the ground. She lost everything including all of her deceased daughters pictures and clothes and basically anything irreplaceable. Self medicating was all she thought to do to forget and stop hurting. But The drugs in turn caused her trouble with the law. Now she is looking at 15 years in the missouri department of corrections. But, she doesnt deserve that. Since august 2015 (after getting out of prison and their treatment program) she has stayed sober, been working since dec 2015, took on twin girls that were 3 months old, now 17 months old, completed the pathway to change program, gotten back into her childrens lives and has finally found herself. She slowly pays her court costs and intervention fees on top of her privately hired attorney that cant get anything except prison time. She is a hardworker, she comes to work ready to work, she works harder than any other employee there, she doesnt complain, she always has a smile on her face. She has a huge heart and deserves this chance to be reinstated on her probation so she can continue to be that woman, daughter, mother, and friend that she truly is.

Judge Wagner,

This petition is to keep my older sister (my bestfriend), from going to prison. She deserves this chance to continue to better her life. For the last year and a half she has completely changed her life for the better. please see all the people that have signed this petition. I started this petition not only for you to see that the community doesnt want Regena to go to prison but also to let Regena know that there are people out here who stand behind her. Please consider her and reinstating her probation. I believe she truly deserves this chance, considering she has completely changed her life around for the better.

Thank you,

Amy Johnson (Warrensburg MO)
