Bring Back The Electric Car

Bring Back The Electric Car

Target:
G. Richard Wagoner Jr. of General Motors.
Sponsored by:
General motors once had an electric car, but due to affiliation with oil companies and lack of consumer support, they had no choice but to let the project go. If you are interested in plug in cars, and if you are a potential consumer willing to buy one, show your support, show you want change, and most of all, show WE need change.

With the demand of oil and gas so drastically high, this time is better then any to educate those on GM's electric car , the EV1. Many people have there theory on why production was canceled, whether it be corruption among oil companies, arrogance among consumers, or lack of government support, but in the end, we had all wished we had showed more support for the EV1 whilst it was available. We all want to buy a car that is efficent, smart, and an exhaust free alternative to oil demanding cars. GM has not recently progressed with development of an efficient plug in car, which is reasonable, taking into consideration the lack of willing consumers. However if GM invests in the technology and development of electric cars more, there can be more people willing to purchase it, we for a fact all know that. If General motors progresses with electric car development, we and many others would be willing consumers to purchase the car. Please give us a choice, to use electric. It is better to advance now, simply because people wont stand for these high prices of oil, however that being said, there is no reason Car Companies and Oil Companies cant keep there affiliation and still invest in efficent forms of fuel to power vehicles, namely Shell and BP, which have already invested millions to find a clean alternative to gas consuming cars, or to find a more efficent form of fuel.

With the cost of gasoline and environmental concerns, consumer should have options for bio-fuel and electric cars--it makes sense to give the public what it wants--people want to support the environment if they have the capability to do so--the oil companies are having billion dollar profits at the cost of the planet and the people who live on it--when will the powers that be -become the leaders that this planet needs-braver and more visionary!!?

Solar power and an electric car! I would love to have both of those affordable to me...I can only imagine the savings each year and how small of a foot print my family and I will leave on this planet! It is what we are all looking for. Please make it so!

Gas is getting very exspensive. Almost to much for the average person to buy. We need to let eletric cars back to help people that can not afford the exspensive gas.

Electric cars are going to be one of the best ways to solve the climate crisis, in my opinion. The technology already exists and is useful to ~90% of the population an a daily basis, and if it is developed it can become even better. Its clean, affordable, and will create jobs like none other. Even if it is running off dirty coal power plants, electric cars are more efficient than conventional ones, and it is much easier to make an electric car completely green than to make a gas powered car green. There is no good reason I can see stopping us from having electric cars on the road in force within the next few years. We need to bring back the electric car as soon as possible in order to help save the planet.
