This is a very serious matter...

In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street,
tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death.

For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have
watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony,
until eventually he died.

Does it look like art to you?

But this is not all... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central
American  decided that the 'installation' was actually art, so that
Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the
biennial of 2008.

I am disgusted by what this "artist" has done. What has he accomplished but taking the life of an animal. In other words he accomplished nothing. I congratulate the man who put out the video. Plus the art patrons didn't even spare a look at this suffering dog. I wish that this so called artist would be put in the same circumstance. Of course society wouldn't allow it calling it a cruel and inhumane thing to be done.I swear, we have regressed instead of progressed. I am an animal lover and they have feelings just as we do.

Domesticated animals are here for us (humans) to take care of. This is disgusting, wrong, cruel and not right. This poor dog. What is this world coming to that would display, generate money and believe that it is art to use a starving (and probably sick) animal out for the public to view. The person responsible should be ashamed of themselves. I pray that some humane individual, group or organization would demand to "rescue" this poor, helpless creature and feed him, take him to a vet and love him and care for him. NO ONE should be treated in this way.
