Let's get Our Drainage Problems Solved !

We, the residents of Chatham County deserve better services from our Department of Public Works. For the amount of tax dollars that are spent for the service we are receiving is a a blatant waste of the taxpayers money.

For years, the county used prisoners to maintain our storm water drainage system. They were cleaned out on a regular basis and all the debris was usually cleaned up in one to two days. And ever since the county's Department of Public Works has taken it over we have had persistent drainage issues and flooding in areas that never used to flood. When the prisoners maintained our drainage system they would shoot grades with a transit to insure the proper grade to insure drainage. They also maintained all ditches regardless of it was on private property or not !

It is time for the residents of Chatham County to demand that we get adequate services for the tax dollars we are paying. Let's get what we deserve. Please join me in the fight to get the prisoners back to maintain our drainage system as it should be.
