Stop Violence in the Media- Prevent Repeats of Aurora and Newtown Shootings

New gun laws are not the answer to prevent shootings. Those who wish to break the law will always find ways. Instead, we must reform our violence obsessed society into one that is focused on improving, not harming, the world so that we may prevent people from desiring to cause harm in the first place.

We must stop producing movies, video games, and music that turn violence into entertainment. We must encourage news stations to transmit messages of hope and love, not fear and hate.  We must teach our children to be productive and focused on a goal to better the world, rather than aimlessly wasting their lives away watching television and playing video games.  We must make love and helping others a part of our school curriculums. We must create volunteer projects and teach others valuable skills so that all may have the opportunity to channel their energy and abilities into something productive.
