JUSTICE FOR DUKE

PLEASE ALL ANIMAL LOVERS & non animal lovers who are OUT THERE HELP US TO SAVE OUR DUKE FROM BEING PUT DOWN, For the first 6 months of Duke`s life he suffered horrific abuse at the hands of his so called (male) owner & his drug taking acquaintances Duke was beaten, kicked, punched, left to go hungry, had objects thrown at him the list goes on & on.
Duke was then “rescued” by his current owners Thankfully!!! However the problems didn't stop there in fact if anything things escalated. Now it was Duke & his (disabled) female owner who were constantly being threatened, they have been verbally abused at family BBQ`s “gatecrashed” Beer cans were hurled at Duke The lady owner has also been threatened repeatedly with physical violence & threats against her life as well as to her family & Duke and other family pets. On one particular occasion this drug taking known criminal once again came out to threaten & intimidate Duke & his owner His owner placed Duke immediately in the boot of her car mainly so this nasty piece of work couldn't get to Duke However this guy has claimed that Duke proceeded to bite him after rolling about on the floor and apparently he had a small bruise on his back side. 
Duke was safely in the car with the car securely locked before this “man” had the chance to get anywhere near Duke. The whole incident has been caught on CCTV and at no point is Duke seen to be anywhere near him let alone seen to bite him or anyone However the police & C.P.S. Have so far arrested his (disabled) owner & proceeded to take her to court to decide whether or not Duke should be put down Whatever happened to the British Justice System??!!! These incidents of threats & harassment have gone on for 2 long years & Duke`s owners have been forced to move. Practically every incident has been logged with both the police & the local council Yet it`s Duke`s owner that is the one being prosecuted This guy has always threatened that one day he will “get the mutt put down one way or another” It`s a total disgrace that this has been allowed to go this far!!! Duke`s owner has decided to take this matter to crown court, Even suffering from ill health she is prepared to fight all the way to save Duke & rightly so too This guy has also been threatening & intimidating a witness who came forward and was originally prepared to go to court and state the TRUTH of what they saw that day that Duke did nothing wrong Now they are too scared to go to court to give evidence for fear of reprisals & threats being carried out who can blame them?! But why would this guy feel the need to threaten & intimidate witnesses if his “story” were true surely he would be so sure of his version of events he wouldn't be bothered who attended court to give their evidence & statements Don`t you think Please help us to get a fair & just outcome to this matter Please help us to try & save Duke`s life!!! Duke is a Beautiful dog. He`s a big softy a cuddly bear he is great around young children & adults alike he does his job …he barks & protects his family don`t all dogs it`s what they are meant to do Duke is not nasty he is not vicious in fact on the contrary sometimes, obviously because of the abuse he has endured, he is scared of his own shadow. Please Please Please take just a few moments from your day to sign our petition which will be forwarded to the court when the case goes back to be heard mid January 2012 so please get your friends & family to sign even invite strangers to show their support & sign too It should never have got this far it`s a farce Help us get this case thrown right out of court which is exactly where it needs to be Thank you in anticipation of your much appreciated support
