Politicians in New Zealand recently voted down a measure that would prohibit the testing of animals for recreational drugs. The proposed amendment to the Psychoactive Substances Bill is similar to legislation that has been adopted in many other places, including the United Kingdom. The outcome of the vote was a disgrace, and New Zealand politicians are evidently failing to recognize the value of animal lives over the profits of drug companies. Urge these politicians to take a stand for animal rights in the future and vote in favor of humane legislation.
