Extend Library Hours at Santa Monica College

The reason for this petition is to help all students have full access to Santa Monica College's services even if it requires the library to stay open later. This change would allow students access to vital services, and more importantly, a chance at greater academic success. The library can be monitored by campus police and only registered SMC students would be allowed inside after 9:45pm.

As of Spring 2017, the SMC libraries hours are as follows:

Monday thru Thursday - 8:00am to 9:45pm
Friday - 8:00am to 3:45pm
Saturday - 11:00am to 3:45pm
Sunday - Closed

We are petitioning for the following changes in SMC library hours:

Monday thru Thursday - 8:00am to 11:00pm
Friday - 8:00am to 7:00pm
Saturday - 11:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday - 11:00am to 5:00pm
