Demand On Truckers Shower Rights!

How many of you just walk into your door from a 12 hour day kick off your shoes and head to the bathroom? Imagine the amount of sweat your clothes carry after 8-12 years of work. Did you know An average person sweats between 0.8 to 1.4 liters (roughly 27.4 to 47.3 oz.) per hour during exercise. For a labor intense job for 12 hours a day at .8 liters that's 9.6 liters for that 12 hour shift. That is a lot of sweat and I would imagine you would smell terrible. You know you smell terrible so what do you do? Shower time!! Now here is where our truckers with 8-12 hours labor intense jobs has a problem. They are not exposed to these kind of needs, all they are equipped with is the truck to drive to make that company there money.What they are equipped with is 12 dollar showers, in this 12 dollar shower you usually get 5 minutes worth of water.Our truckers work to hard to deliver our goods to our homes and stores and they don't even get free showers?? Imagine coming into your door wanting to hop into the shower to get that 9.6 liters of sweat off but someone is standing saying its 12 bucks. Imagine pulling a 12 hour day and not even get to take a shower unless you have cash.

The sad truth is our truckers are using there hard earned money to pay for there food and showers when they should have access to certain things like water. Did you know in America water cost 1.50 for 1000 gallons,a slow flow shower converts 2.5 gallons in 5 minutes now imagine how many truckers a 1000 gallons of water would shower...all for one dollar and fifty cents ,but explain to me why there having to pay 12 bucks for just one! This is a serious problem that shouldn't even happen. At this price water will cost less than a penny we can shower these truckers for free and not loss a dime. Imagine the money it will save a company, there is companies that allow there truckers to earn gas points then the company pays for the shower. FedEx is the worlds number 1 transportation company in America with 165k workers, if everyone of there members was to shower 3 times a week and the company paid for there 12 dollar shower every time FedEx will spend7425000 A WEEK IN SHOWERS. These companies are paying for something that doesn't cost but a penny.

This is where I come in. I have a dream as you see I hate to hear that my trucker had to pay for water to shower...It isn't right he works all day for these stores to get there products and then they charge the same people bringing them there goods. I propose this comes to a end today!! Free showers for truckers is what needs to be done. I propose that all stores WORLDWIDE offer our truckers 3 free showers a week.
