We need a new board for the Oktibbeha County Humane Society

On Friday September 30 2013, the board of the Oktibbeha animal shelter fired the best manager they have had since first opening their doors.  The next Monday they euthanized 22 animals, two of which were former foster kittens, they did not bother to call the foster that spent hours taking care of them, and making sure, they survived only to be carelessly put down.  These killers are Michelle Anderson, Dr. Diane Wall, and Dr. Renee Westbrook of Self Creek Vet clinic.  In one day, they put more animals to sleep than the former manager Anita Howard did in one month.  A good 90% of the board for the animal shelter has never been there.  Two board members do not live in the county of Oktibbeha, which is against their By-Laws.  This past year they only held one fundraiser, which raised less than 500 dollars.  They turn down offers for fundraisers, and do not fill out for grants, which would bring in much needed money for the shelter.  We had four large kennels donated to the shelter worth 2,300 dollars, and Michelle Anderson turned around and gave two of the kennels to Dr. Renee Westbrook who owns Self Creek Veterinary clinic, which is illegal.  They have a referring Vet that refuses to do her job and her solution to everything is to put it to sleep because it is only a shelter animal.  They need to be held accountable for their actions and replaced because of their lack of compassion and their total disregard of the law.  They think that they are above the law and they do not have to do their jobs properly and still be able to keep their positions.  Let us show them they are wrong, let us tell them that we will not stand for them being in charge of all those innocent lives any more.  We put the animals first and so should they.
