STOP placing women who are Childless Not By Choice on maternity wards

How would you feel if you woke from a hysterectomy to hear the sound of a woman in labour or a newborns first cry? How would you feel if you had never had a child? How would you feel if you woke knowing you would never be a mum?

To endure the life of being Childless Not By Choice can be harsh and painful on a daily basis. Acceptance is a hard path because the hole you have in your heart for a child will never be filled.

The physical pain of healing from a medical procedure is not as harsh or damaging as the mental anguish of being placed on a maternity ward. A newborns first cry is a joyous thing that should be celebrated, but for those who will never hear that sound from their own child it can be torture. Please sign to help prevent this unnecessary mental cruelty.

Thank you, with 3682 shares you have made readers see things from a different perspective and perhaps question scenarios that they previously only ever viewed as happy. When we have the confidence to share our stories we empower ourselves and we never know who is listening; perhaps a woman who needed to hear she is not alone in her pain, a nurse who may look at her patients through new eyes or someone who has the power to instigate change. Small whispers can make a big difference so "thank you"

Thank you to each and every one of you who has signed and shared this petition so far.

Signatures have come to a standstill over the last couple weeks, but I wonder how many women have had the ordeal of dealing with a loss over the same period of time.

Please share again on facebook, twitter, blogs and as many social media platforms as you can.

One in every eight women is childless.
One in every four women will suffer a miscarriage.

You, your wife, mother, daughter, sister or friend may have been through the turmoil of waking on a maternity ward after losing their child. Someone you know may presently be crying as they try to accept that they will never be a mother. All of these women need your support.

Please share this petition again and include a message from your heart (in your own words) as to why this change is important.
