Texas spend so much money on these STAAR tests that NOBODY wants! $289 million contract. They're ridiculous! Teachers teach students how to pass the STAAR every single damn year. Its like the students are robots that their duty is to pass the test every school year. Many students have severe anxiety when taking these tests. There's a lot of pressure and stress over the STAAR tests that many students drop out out of high school because of them! Because if they don't pass them they won't graduate with their class. Many students have severe good grades in their regular studies but they struggle with the STAAR. The tests are a lot harder for younger kids since many questions are worded in a way where their brains can't comprehend. I made this petition to help out on taking these tests down. Many-a LOT of people are complaining with good points on why the STAAR tests should be taken down, but they are not listen to. And I completely agree that the STAAR should be taken down. They're pointless and useless!
