No Siltation Bags to be placed as islands in the water in Lake Rosemound

In May of 2014, the Membership of Lake Rosemound adopted a plan for a Siltation Control and Dredging Project. The description of the project and how it was to be implemented was known as the Moseley Document. This Moseley Document (written by Rob Moseley) was to be followed by the Lake Rosemound Board until the project was complete.

In the Project Summary of this document (contact me if you wish to read it), the only way the plan could change was "with Membership input".

Currently, the Lake Rosemound Board is NOT following the Moseley document. First, a totally different dredging machine was purchased (without Membership approval). Now, some Board Members believe that it is acceptable to fill Envirotube siltation bags that are 10 feet inside the edge of the lake and call them "Islands." This too is a major change to the project that is being kept from the Membership.

The reason for this petition is simple. The Moseley document approved bulkheaded islands only when all other options were exhausted. Siltation bag "islands" that are to be placed inside the lake without Membership approval simply cannot be done.

By signing below, you agree that the current LRA Board cannot put any type of siltation sacks or bags inside the lake (231' elevation and below) without express permission from a majority vote of the membership. Feel free to call me to discuss. Tommy LeBlanc (LRA Boardmember)
