Keep Girls Rugby at South

Some of the teachers at South are concerned about the number of "injuries" brought on by playing Rugby, so administration's solution to this issue is to cancel the sport altogether. Our team only sufferred from one concussion last season; many of the "injuries" that the teachers are concerned about were inflated by girls wanting a free ticket out of class and some special attention. Our team begins practising close to 2 months before the season begins to ensure proper training, as our safety is our coaches' #1 concern. Administration would never consider cancelling other high risk sports like hockey or football, as they know there would be too much debate and rebutle from the community and those who love the sport. We girls not only love the sport, but love being apart of the rugby family and representing our school. Please sign this petition to show the school that we're not alone on wanting to keep South's rugby legacy alive.
