Scotland: Three-Year-Olds Shouldn't be Charged With Crimes!

According to new figures obtained by the BBC, 25 children aged three or four have been recorded for offenses such as shoplifting and vandalism over the past two years.

Marking children as criminals at such a young age affects how teachers, other authority figures and peers will view and treat them. Stigmatizing children this way will only increase their chances of criminal behavior.

What is the purpose of giving young children a criminal record? They are too young to understand their crimes or what it means to have a record. A stern talking-to from an authority figure will suffice in teaching the kid a lesson and preventingfurther instances of the behavior.

Please sign the petition to urge the Scottish Police Authority to stop charging young children with crimes!
