Apple: Allow iPhone Users To Block Unknown Callers Who Disregard the Do Not Call List

With the release of Apple's iOS 8, users lost the ability to block "Unknown" callers, which was previously an option with iOS 7. These calls open the door to scammers who can use their anonymity to present themselves as banks, friends, politicians or anyone else who might solicit for funds. This leaves millions vulnerable and easy prey through the actions of Apple.

Additionally the calls can be nuisance, calling people at all hours of the day and night, decreasing productivity, disrupting family time, dinner and even sleep. My carrier, AT&T, has stated that blocking "Unknown" callers is up to the smartphone user. Even Apple's own Do Not Disturb will still allow unknown calls to buzz through on my phone.

We call upon Apple to do the right thing by allowing users to retake control of their phones - and sleep - by allowing users the basic functionality of blocking unknown calls, a feature we once had in previous iOS releases.
