Tell President Obama to stop animal overproduction and support vegan and vegetarian diets!

Animal agriculture is likely the most ignored and biggest problem to our planet. Animals agriculture is accountable for 55% of CO2 pollution and yet we never hear about it from the goverment. We do hear though about car pooling, and shorter showers, and planting trees. Meanwhile animal agriculture produced more green house gases than transportation or private energy usage.
Animal agriculture is incredibly wasteful. It takes 2,500 gallons of water and 16 pounds of grain to make 1 lb of beef. Meanwhile you will save 2,700 from a year of using a low flow shower head instead of a regular one. Animal agriculture is the leading cause in illness, deforestation, pollution, habitat destruction, global warming, drought and world hunger. Yet we never hear about it from the goverment. It is time we make President Obama put the news out and stop ignoring a major global threat due to the big bucks. Any further facts and information on this matter are linked below.

Dear President Barack Obama,
This petition was created and signed to help convince you to address the largest factor of climate change, animal agriculture. We urge you to please take action against the threats of climate change for it is something we all wish we could just ignore with no ill side effects but unfortunately this can't happen. We ask you to help raise awareness about the benefits to our world created by cutting out meat partially if not completely from our diets. And also we ask of you to try and limit meat production and promote vegan and vegetarian lifestyles as well as any other meat restricting diets. Thank You.

Ps. I do not know if this is common or even done when writing petitions but this is a matter which I (Amber) have worried about for along time now. For because of our earth and the climate change going on I'm scared. I am scared that in 10 years many won't have homes, or the water won't be safe, that weather will become way more unpredictable. When people ask me what I want to be when I grow up is start with I hope. I hope to be a veterinarian, an artist and even a musician. I hope to have all my dream pets, I hope to master viola and I hope to paint beautiful pictures. I hope to start charities, help the poor of both humans and animals. I hope to be the best vegan chef, to maybe even start my own restaurant. I hope to visit an exotic country, to see interesting sights and eat interesting food. But I am scared, scared that I will never reach 30, never get a proper job and never meet my true love. I am scared that us humans will kill ourselves and the rest of earth too. I am scared that we will destroy the miracle called Earth before scientists ever find out if life exists somewhere else. And one of biggest fears is I fear I will die alone. That I will die with no one to talk too, no animal to care for and no one left to love. Thank you for reading my petition.
