Americans don’t just vote on our ballots, our voices can be heard through the businesses we choose to support. We the undersigned will not be supporting your business because you sell a brand that espouses bigotry, racism, sexism and hate.

Ivanka Trump speaks often about harnessing the power of her family name. “The nice thing about the things I’m involved in is that they’re all complementary,” she told the New York Times in 2013. “We’re a family company. We’re a family brand. For me, at the ribbon-cutting of a hotel that I’ve been working on in Beijing for five years, wearing Ivanka Trump — that’s an image you can’t fake create.”

Presidents have enormous latent power, and it is the custom of restraint in its use that is one of the important differences between us and banana republics.  Trump has refused calls to sell or give his business interests to an independent manager or “blind trust,” a long-held presidential tradition designed to combat conflicts of interest. His children can not be independent managers nor represent a "blind trust". Now, policy and ethics experts are scrambling to assess the potential dangers of public rule by a leader with a vast web of private business deals. “There are so many diplomatic, political, even national security risks in having the president own a whole bunch of properties all over the world,” said Richard Painter, chief White House ethics lawyer under President George W. Bush.

At least in the USA, in our backyard, companies could do the ethical thing and stop selling Trump products. By supporting Trump brand, you are responsible for supporting Trump, the president elect, who, by the family's own admission, can not be separated from the Trump brand.

We would like to refresh your memory:

British newspaper The Independent revealed most of the Ivanka Trump brand’s clothing was manufactured in Vietnam and China. Her business practices aren’t consistent with her advocacy: Ivanka Trump clothing generated roughly $100 million in revenue last fiscal year, G-III reports show, yet maternity leave is unpaid. Donald Trump, whose apparel also is largely made overseas, has made decrying outsourced jobs central to his campaign. The hypocrisy of Trump family is a foregone conclusion.

But, business executives who are serious about their ethics must reconsider their values by the products they sell in their stores.

We, Americans, will exercise our freedom and pragmatism in the purchases of merchandises and in the businesses we will support.

We will boycott AMAZON, ZAPPOS, LORD AND TAYLOR, MACY'S, BLOOMINGDALE'S, NORDSTROM, NEIMAN MARCUS, SHOPSTYLE, BLUEFLY, BED AND BATH AND BEYOND, ROSS, SEARS, PERFUMANIA, CENTURY 21, BLUEFLY,  MARSHALLS, HSN, OVERSTOCK, TJ MAXX, WALMART, because your business sell Trump brand,  the brand that can not be separated from the president elect, who has conflict of interest as president elect  to be invovled in commercial deal making, who as political representative of all Americans can not also be a business profiteer, and your company by selling the Trump brand, choses to ignore the unethical implications and normalize this most irregular and dangerous situation and continue to sell a brand that espouses bigotry, racism, sexism, intolerance and hate.
